WHEREAS, On October 10, 2023, the Council approved the purchase of a 2024
Freightliner truck with an articulating aerial device from Terex Utilities,Inc., of Watertown, South
Dakota, in the amount of$350,327.00 with Resolution 2023-263; and
WHEREAS, Sourcewell contract#110421-TER was awarded to Terex Utilities,Inc.,
of Watertown, South Dakota; and
WHEREAS, since ordering the vehicle 2+ years ago, the chassis is going to be
upgraded to a 2027 model and cost of the vehicle increased by $2,248.00.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the amendment to the Underground
Department purchase a 2027 Freightliner truck with an articulating aerial device from Terex
Utilities,Inc.,of Watertown, South Dakota,for the additional amount of$2,248.00 for a total cost of
$352,575.00 is hereby approved.
