WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Precipitator, Bottom
Ash and Boiler Industrial Cleaning — Spring 2026, according to plans and specifications on file
with the Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2026, bids were received, opened, and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, Groome Industrial Service Group, LLC, of Denville, New Jersey,
submitted a bid in accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids and plans and
specifications and all other statutory requirements contained therein, such bid being in the amount
of$303,801.97; and
WHEREAS, the bid from Groome Industrial Service Group, LLC, is within the
annual operation and maintenance budget and it is the lowest responsible bid for Precipitator,
Bottom Ash and Boiler Industrial Cleaning—Spring, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Groome Industrial Service
Group, LLC, of Denville,New Jersey in the amount of$303,801.97, for Precipitator, Bottom Ash
and Boiler Industrial Cleaning—Spring, 2026, is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
contract with Groome Industrial Service Group, LLC for Precipitator, Bottom Ash and Boiler
Industrial Cleaning—Spring, 2026, and to take all other actions necessary to effect the purpose of
this resolution.
