WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for furnishing Road
Gravel for 2026, according to plans and specifications on file with the Public Works Department;
and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2026 bids were received, opened and reviewed; and,
WHEREAS, Island Landhandlers of Grand Island, Nebraska submitted the lowest
responsible bid that meets the bid specifications for Road Gravel 2026 in the amount of$15.00
per ton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA that the bid from Island Landhandlers for
road gravel purchased in the 2026 calendar year, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island and that the City Clerk shall
store, retain, and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in the
same manner as contracts and agreements are retained.
