WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for furnishing Concrete
Ready-Mix for 2026 for the Streets Division and Solid Waste Division of the Public Works
Department, according to specifications on file with the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2026, bids were received, opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, Gerhold Concrete Co., Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska and
Consolidated Concrete Co. of Hastings, Nebraska, submitted bids in accordance with the terms
of the advertisement of bids and specifications and all other statutory requirements contained
therein; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bids for concrete ready-mix
purchased in the 2026 calendar year, are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island, and that the City Clerk shall
store, retain, and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in the
same manner as contracts and agreement are retained.
