WHEREAS,the City has approved budget authority for the purchase of two(2)2026
Chevy Tahoe Police Pursuit 4WD Police Department fleet vehicles; and
WHEREAS,a bid request was published on January 7,2026 with only one bid being
returned by the closing date of January 22, 2026.
WHEREAS,the only bid returned was from Gregg Young Chevrolet of Omaha,NE
for the Police Department to purchase two (2) 2026 Chevy Tahoe Police Pursuit 4WD at a cost of
$109,700.00.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,approve the acceptance of the bid and to purchase
two (2) 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit 4WD, from Gregg Young Chevrolet of Omaha,
Nebraska for a total cost of$109,700.00.
