WHEREAS, the City has approved budget authority for the purchase of seven (7)
Police Department fleet vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nebraska has released the State contracts for vehicle
purchases which include the vehicles the Police Department wants to purchase under State Contract
#16214 OC; and
WHEREAS,the Police Department wishes to purchase seven(7) 2026 Ford Police
Interceptor Utility vehicles with standard engines at a cost of$45,168 each, for a total of$316,176.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, approve the purchase of seven (7) 2026 Ford
Police Interceptor Utility vehicles,from Anderson Auto Group,Lincoln,Nebraska and under state
contract for a total cost of$316,176.
