WHEREAS, the City Engineer/Public Works Director for the City Of Grand
Island has issued a Certificate of Completion for South Locust Street Paving Improvements-
Highway 34 to Wood River Diversion Bridge; Project No. 2023-P-9 certifying that Elsbury
Construction, LLC of Grand Island, Nebraska, under contract has completed the work required
by the contract at a total cost of$2,791,767.34; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer/Public Works Director for the City Of Grand
Island has issued a Certificate of Completion for South Locust Street Paving Improvements-
Wood River Diversion Bridge Repair; Project No. 2023-P-9A certifying that General
Excavating, LLC of Lincoln, Nebraska, under contract has completed the work required by the
contract at a total cost of$406,156.00; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred additional Project costs in the amount of
$365,813.44, as detailed below, resulting in a total Project cost of$3,563,736.78; and

Olsson, Inc.- Engineering $ 333,435.91
ERES International, Inc.- Radar Data $ 1,800.00
Hall Co Dept of Roads- SuNeying $ 900.00
Grand Island Independent-Adhertising $ 190.80
Additional Costs= $365,813.44
WHEREAS, the City Engineer/Public Works Director recommends the
confirmation of the Certificate of Completion and acceptance of the projects as complete; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor concurs with the recommendation of the City
Engineer/Public Works Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Certificate of Final Completion,
for South Locust Street Paving Improvements- Highway 34 to Wood River Diversion Bridge;
Project No. 2023-P-9 and South Locust Street Paving Improvements- Wood River Diversion
Bridge Repair; Project No. 2023-P-9A, in the total amount of $3,563,736.78, is hereby
confirmed and the projects are hereby accepted as complete.
