WHEREAS, on September 23, 2025 Council approved a temporary construction
agreement for Hooker Brothers Sand&Gravel and that agreement is currently in good standing;and
WHEREAS,the current agreement will expire on November 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Hooker Brothers Sand & Gravel have experienced some equipment
repairs and upgrades, but are expecting to complete operations before Thanksgiving; and
WHEREAS, GIUD and Hooker Brothers Sand & Gravel are requesting a 30-day
extension to December 23, 2025, out of an abundance of caution should other issues arise pushing
the completion date past the expiration of agreement; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, the Hooker Brothers Sand & Gravel 30-day
extension to December 23,2025, of agreement for temporary construction occupancy is approved.
