WHEREAS,on August 5,2025 by Resolution 2025-255,the City Council of the City
of Grand Island awarded Diamond Engineering Co. from Grand Island, Nebraska, a bid in the
amount of$134,367.00, for Ball Field Drainage Improvements—Ashley Park; and
WHEREAS, as the project progressed some minor changes were identified in the
plans to further enhance the project; and
WHEREAS, such changes have been incorporated into Change Order No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the changes will be funded through Keno Funds 22010001-9999;
and
WHEREAS, the result of such changes will increase the contract amount by
$10,639.00 for a revised contract amount of$145,006.00.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be,and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1 between the City of Grand Island and Diamond Engineering
Co. from Grand Island, Nebraska to incorporate the change order as set out as follows:
1. 8' Tall Fence .decrease $-1,679.00
2. Gate For Dugout increase $ 912.00
3. Fence and Gae at Batting Gate ..increase $ 3,342.00
4. Composite Backstop Boards increase $ 6,264.00
5. Pier Footings for Grandstand Stairs increase $ 1,800.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign all
related documents on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
