WHEREAS,the Grand Island Fire Department's vital sign and cardiac monitor will
no longer be supported or maintained by the manufacturer; and
WHEREAS, a committee of Grand Island Fire paramedics evaluated that the Zoll
Zenix was the best monitor available to emergency medical services; and
WHEREAS,the purchase of the monitors was approved in the City of Grand Island
2025-2026 Capital Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,move to approve the purchase of seven Zoll Zenix vital
sign monitor/cardiac defibrillators for use on the GIFD ambulances for$357,772.72 as approved in
the 2025-2026 Capital budget from the Sourcewell buying group.
