WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Sanitary Sewer Open
Cut Repairs; Project No. 2026-S-1, according to plans and specifications on file with the Public
Works Department; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2025 bids were received, opened, and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska
submitted a bid in accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids and plans and
specifications and all other statutory requirements contained therein,such bid being in the amount of
$307,305.00; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of The Diamond Engineering
Company of Grand Island, Nebraska in the amount of$307,305.00 for Sanitary Sewer Open Cut
Repairs; Project No. 2026-S-1 is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island and that the City Clerk shall store,
retain,and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in the same manner
as contracts and agreements are retained.
