WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Island Oasis Water Park
Improvements according to plans and specifications on file with the Parks and Recreation
Department; and
WHEREAS,on October 21,2025,two(2)bids were received,opened and reviewed;
and
WHEREAS, Scheele-Kayton Construction from Lincoln,Nebraska,submitted a bid
in accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids, plans and specifications and all other
statutory requirements contained therein, such bid being in the amount of$13,196,820.00; and
WHEREAS, such project will be funded through Food and Beverage Proceeds.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid from Scheele-Kayton Construction
from Lincoln, Nebraska in the total amount of $13,196,820.00 for Island Oasis Water Park
Improvements is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designees are hereby authorized
to take all actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
