WHEREAS,the City approved the contract for animal shelter, care, and disposition
with the Central Nebraska Humane Society; and
WHEREAS,the Grand Island Police Department requests to amend Article V Section
4 of the most recent agreement between the Central Nebraska Humane Society and the City of Grand
Island for animal sheltering, care, and disposition services; and
WHEREAS,the Police Department wishes to allow any period of a day,an animal is
submitted to the shelter, to count as "one whole day" for purposes of accounting.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,to approve the amendment to Article V Section 4
of the most recent agreement between the Central Nebraska Humane Society and the City of Grand
Island for animal sheltering, care, and disposition services.
