WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for the Ryder Park Baseball
Field Improvements REBID according to plans and specifications on file with the Parks and
Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS,on July 15,2025,four(4)bids were received,opened and reviewed;and
WHEREAS,Nemaha Sports Construction from Lincoln,Nebraska,submitted a bid in
accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids, plans and specifications and all other
statutory requirements contained therein,with the base bid and Alternate#1 bid being in the amount
of$3,745,600.00; and
WHEREAS, such project will be funded through Food & Beverage Funds and
Donations.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid from Nemaha Sports Construction
from Lincoln, Nebraska in the total amount of$3,745,600.00 for the Ryder Park Baseball Field
Improvements is hereby approved as the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designees are hereby authorized
to take all actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
