WHEREAS, the Buy Board, a local government purchasing cooperative, through
Contract No. 686-22 was utilized to secure competitive bids for One(1)2026 Transfer Trailer by the
Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS,the Buy Board Contract No.686-22 was awarded to Wilkens Industries,
Inc. of Morris, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS,the Public Works Department has recommended the purchase of one(1)
2026 Transfer Trailer from Wilkens Industries of Morris,Minnesota in the amount of$120,757.00,
accounting for a$15,000.00 trade-in of the current piece of equipment, the final purchase price is
$105,757.00.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the purchase of one(1)2026 Transfer Trailer
from Wilkens Industries of Morris,Minnesota in the net amount of$105,757.00 is hereby approved.
