WHEREAS,on January 23,2024,via Resolution No.2024-17,City Council awarded
an agreement to Olsson, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska in the amount of$135,132.00 to provide
engineering services for project management, topographic survey, geotechnical exploration and
reporting,laboratory testing,project design,and project bidding for the construction of Cell 4 for the
Solid Waste Division; and
WHEREAS, the original agreement is now being supplemented to handle major
modification/re-permitting and construction phase services for the construction of Cell 4; and
WHEREAS,such services will be provided on a time and expense basis not to exceed
$192,349.00, resulting in a revised agreement amount of$327,481.00; and
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the original agreement with Olsson, Inc. is
required to proceed with this project.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that Amendment No. 1 with Olsson,Inc.of Grand
Island,Nebraska in the amount of$192,349.00 for engineering services related to construction of
Cell 4 at the Landfill, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island and that the City Clerk shall store,
retain,and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in the same manner
as contracts and agreements are retained.
