WHEREAS, the National Joint Powers Alliance Buying Group, now known as
Sourcewell, was utilized to secure competitive bids for one (1) 2026 LT625 6x4 Conventional
Truck-Tractor by the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the Sourcwell Contract No. 060920-NVS was awarded to Hansen
International, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has recommended the purchase of one(1)
2026 LT625 6x4 Conventional Truck-Tractor from Hansen International, Inc. of Grand Island,
Nebraska in the amount of$146,289.39; and
WHEREAS,this new truck-tractor will replace a 2017 International Prostra, which
has approximately 10,700 hours/230,700 miles and a trade in value of$17,500.00;resulting in a net
purchase amount of$128,789.39.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the purchase of one (1) 2026 LT625 6x4
Conventional Truck-Tractor from Hansen International, Inc., in the net amount of$128,789.39, is
hereby approved.
