WHEREAS, on August 27, 2024 by Resolution 2024-194, the City Council of the
City of Grand Island awarded Diamond Engineering Co. from Grand Island,Nebraska, a bid in the
amount of$653,714.10, for Stolley Park Paving Improvements Phase II; and
WHEREAS, during construction of the project it was determined that a French
Drain was needed to assist with drainage in the west and central part of the park; and
WHEREAS,installation of a French Drain has been incorporated into Change Order
No. 1; and
WHEREAS,the installation of a French Drain will be funded through the Food&
Beverage fund; and
WHEREAS, the result of such installation will increase the contract amount by
$6,010.54 for a revised contract amount of$659,724.64.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1 between the City of Grand Island and Diamond Engineering
Co. from Grand Island, Nebraska to provide the installation of a French Drain set out as follows:
1. Installation of a French Drain .increase $6,010.54
