WHEREAS,on March 12,2024 City Council approved Resolution 2024-61 and on
March 11,2025 approved Resolution 2025-83 for a lease agreement with Barry Neidfelt for rental of
an 8,400 square foot metal storage building for the Park Maintenance Division for offsite
storage/staging area; and
WHEREAS, the current lease will expire on September 15, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City Parks & Recreation Department is requesting to extend the
lease for an additional one(1)year ending September 15,2026 at a cost of$27,000.00 plus electric
utilities; and
WHEREAS, funds will be paid out of the Park Operations budget—Other Property
Services.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the new one(1)year Lease Agreement by and
between the City of Grand Island and Barry Neidfelt detailing the responsibilities between both
parties is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to sign on behalf of the City of Grand Island,the Agreement by and between the City and
Barry Neidfelt.
