WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for
Amateur, Semi-Professional and Professional Baseball Organizations to Provide Public Baseball
Entertainment at Ryder Park Legion Field; and
WHEREAS, on March 25, 2025 three proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, National Sports Services from Lawrence, Kansas, (Diamond League
Baseball) submitted a proposal in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals; and
WHEREAS,the proposal from National Sports Services was ranked the highest;and
WHEREAS, a contract will be negotiated with National Sports Services (Diamond
League Baseball) for providing public baseball entertainment at Ryder Park Legion Field.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the proposal from National Sports Services
from Lawrence, Kansas (Diamond League Baseball) to Provide Public Baseball Entertainment at
Ryder Park Legion Field, is hereby accepted and approved as the lowest responsive proposal
submitted,and that the contract by and between the City and the Vendor be and hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to sign on behalf of the City of Grand Island,the Agreement by and between the City and
National Sports Services (Diamond League Baseball).
