WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for Substation Transformer
Maintenance—Fall 2025,according to plans and specifications on file with the Utilities Department;
and
WHEREAS, on August 14, 2025, bids were received, opened, and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, Transfluid Services Inc., of Houston, Texas, submitted the only bid
received in the amount of$503,382.65; and
WHEREAS, Transfluid Services Inc., of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in
accordance with the terms of the advertisement of bids and plans and specifications and all other
statutory requirements contained therein,such bid being reduced to the amount of $349,950.00;and
WHEREAS, the bid of Transfluid Services, Inc. is within the transformer
maintenance budget and is the lowest responsible bid for Substation Transformer Maintenance-Fall,
2025.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Transfluid Services, Inc., in the
amount of$349,950.00 for Substation Transformer Maintenance—Fall,2025,is hereby approved as
the lowest responsible bid.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
contract with Transfluid Services,Inc. for Substation Transformer Maintenance—Fall,2025,and to
take all other actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
