WHEREAS,on December 5,2024,via Resolution No.2023-312,the City of Grand
Island awarded The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska the bid in the
amount of$3,380,034.15 for Independence Avenue- Capital Avenue to Manchester Road; Project
No. 2023-P-10; and
WHEREAS, to address sanitary sewer relocation, water service conflicts and
reconstruction, and fence relocation; and
WHEREAS,such modifications have been incorporated into Change Order No. 1 for
a contract increase of$78,506.35, resulting in a revised contract amount of$3,458,540.50.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be,and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1, in the amount of$78,506.35, between the City of Grand
Island and The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska to provide the
modifications.
