WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island and Hall County wish to participate cooperatively in
providing access to certain public spaces owned and operated by City to the County for use as
temporary courtroom space should certain emergency situations occur which render the Hall
County courthouse space unusable during the construction of an addition; and,
WHEREAS, the Parties have reduced their cooperation to an Interlocal Cooperation
Agreement provided to Council on this date and incorporated by reference herein; and,
WHEREAS, on August 12, 2025 the Hall County Board approved this Interlocal
Cooperation Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
proposed interlocal agreement between the City of Grand Island and Hall County for the provision
of temporary emergency courtroom space during construction of the Hall County courthouse
addition, and to take all other actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
