08/19/2025 Resolutions 2025-267 RESOLUTION 2025-267 WHEREAS, a temporary construction easement is required by the City of Grand Island, from property described below for the construction of South Locust Street Improvements- Former Park Road to 2nd Street; Project No. 2021-P-6: Property Owner Legal Description Cost A TEMPORARY EASEMENT CONSISTING OF A PART OF A TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED IN INSTRUMENT NO. 201804270, BEING A PART OF THE WEST 75' OF LOTS 1-3,CAMPBELL'S SUBDIVISION, CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,HALL COUNTY,NEBRASKA AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID TRACT,BEING THE INTERSECTION OF THE SOUTH LINE OF THE EXISTING KOENIG STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AND THE EAST LINE OF THE Wilmer Mendoza,Kenia EXISTING SOUTH LOCUST STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY; THENCE Murillo,Melvo Mendoza ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE ON AN ASSUMED BEARING OF $760.00 and Blanca Mendoza S89°15'16"E A DISTANCE OF 18.00 FEET; THENCE SOO°09'04"E A DISTANCE OF 7.00 FEET; THENCE N89°15'16"W A DISTANCE OF 13.00 FEET; THENCE SOO°09'04"E A DISTANCE OF 58.85 FEET TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID TRACT; THENCE ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE N89°15'16"W A DISTANCE OF 5.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF INTERSECTION OF SAID SOUTH LINE AND SAID EAST LINE OF SOUTH LOCUST STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY; THENCE ALONG SAID EAST LINE NOO°09'04"W A DISTANCE OF 65.85 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. SAID TEMPORARY EASEMENT CONTAINS 420 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS. Total= $760.00 WHEREAS, such Temporary Construction easement has been reviewed and approved by the City Legal Department. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to compensate the affected property owners for the Temporary Construction easement on the above described tract of land.
