WHEREAS, on August 5, 2025, Council approved Resolution 2025-252 awarding
the Kimball Reservoir Roof Replacement to Martino Commercial Roofing LLC; and
WHEREAS, a 40-year membrane warranty was included as being approved; and
WHEREAS,a 40-year membrane warranty is only available by using 90 mil EPDM
with 6" factory applied tape which Utility Engineering staff declined this change;
WHERAS, the 40-year membrane warranty would cost more than was previously
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Resolution 2025-252 is amended to
remove any reference to the 40-year membrane warranty.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute such contract on behalf of the City of Grand Island and to take all other actions necessary
to effect the purpose of this resolution.
