WHEREAS, on February 11, 2025, via Resolution No.2025-45, the City of Grand
Island awarded Elsbury Construction, LLC of Grand Island, Nebraska the bid in the amount of
$9,044,222.01 for South Locust Street Improvements- Fonner Park Road to 2nd Street; Project No.
2021-P-6; and
WHEREAS,to address several items,the majority of which consists of the existing
water main conditions at the Locust Street and Fonner Park Road intersection, as well as right-of-
way/land acquisition Change Order No. 1 is being requested; and
WHEREAS, such modifications have been incorporated into Change Order No. 1 for
a contract increase of$384,975.00, resulting in a revised contract amount of$9,429,197.01.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Mayor be,and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1, in the amount of$384,975.00, between the City of Grand
Island and Elsbury Construction, LLC of Grand Island,Nebraska to provide the modifications.
