07/08/2025 Resolutions 2025-214 RESOLUTION 2025-214 WHEREAS,Liberty Campus,formerly federally owned,had electric infrastructure installed in a manner that is inconsistent with GIUD standards, primarily no ground conductor installed with the power cable; and WHEREAS,GIUD performed an inspection and determined the cost to upgrade the electrical system to GIUD standards is $18,000; and WHEREAS, to take ownership of the Liberty Campus electric system it must be upgraded to GIUD standards; and WHEREAS, the current owners, H.E.L.P. Foundation of Omaha, INC and Liberty Campus GI,LLC,agree to transfer ownership of electric infrastructure to GIUD at a cost of$18,000. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the Utility Transfer agreement between the current owners, H.E.L.P. Foundation of Omaha, INC and Liberty Campus GI, LLC, and GIUD be executed,transferring ownership of the Liberty Campus electric infrastructure and$18,000 to GIUD is approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the lease on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
