WHEREAS, in 1946, the Windolph family granted an easement to the Kansas-
Nebraska Natural Gas Company, Inc., now known as Tallgrass Interstate Gas Transmission; and
WHEREAS,the City of Grand Island purchased the land in 1960 and subdivided it
into "Industrial Addition"without vacating or amending the easement; and
WHEREAS, the easement covers approximately 40 acres of land and Tallgrass
Interstate Gas Transmission currently has a pipeline that only occupies approximately 0.45 acres;
and
WHEREAS,Tallgrass Interstate Gas Transmission has submitted an amendment to
the easement to cover only the 0.45 acres currently being utilized.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the amendment to the easement is approved,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the amendment on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
