WHEREAS, the City's Utility Department subscribes to insurance for boiler and
machinery property peril and fire coverage; and
WHEREAS, Council authorized Resolution 2023-165 on June 27, 2023 for the
construction of a 9.9 MW solar field; and
WHEREAS,the 9.9 MW solar field project at 381 Museum Drive in Grand Island,
Nebraska has been completed; and
WHEREAS, the premium for the Solar Field Endorsement for insurance with FM
(formerly FM Global) Insurance Company for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2024-2025 is
$52,465.00, payable to the insurance broker, FNIC.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the proposal from FM,payable to FNIC,with
a premium in the amount of$52,465.00, is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute such a contract on behalf of the City of Grand Island and to take all other actions necessary
to effect the purpose of this resolution.
