03/04/2025 Resolutions 2025-70 RESOLUTION 2025-70 WHEREAS, on February 25,2025 via Resolution 2025-67 the City Council for the City of Grand Island authorized the Mayor to execute a Ground Lease between the City and Hall County Livestock Improvement Association to facilitate the improvement of parking facilities on currently unimproved land; and, WHEREAS, as of March 3, 2025 the Mayor has not yet signed the Ground Lease into law due to further negotiations between the Parties; and, WHEREAS, the City has proposed an amendment to Section 20 of the Ground Lease to permit termination of some or all of the parking access should future land use needs change, subject to the City providing similar replacement parking access; and, WHEREAS, the Hall County Livestock Improvement Association Board did approve, on March 3, 2025, amendment language further negotiated by the Parties. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island does hereby approve amendment of the Ground Lease as set forth in the First Amendment as presented to City Council on March 4, 2025 and authorizes the Mayor to sign all necessary documents for its inclusion in the previously approved Ground Lease. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Amendment shall be affixed as an additional two pages to the executed Ground Lease as approved by City Council on February 25, 2025 via Resolution 2025-67 and shall be incorporated therein prior to proper filing once both documents have been signed into law by the Mayor.
