ORDINANCE NO. 10,006
An ordinance to vacate three (3) easement tracts currently located in part of Block
50, Packer & Barr's Second Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County,Nebraska, and to
provide for filing this ordinance in the office of the Register of Deeds of Hall County, Nebraska;
and to provide for the publication and the effective date of this ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That the three (3) easement tracts located in parts of Block 50, Packer and
Barr's Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County,Nebraska, and to provide for filing this
ordinance in the office of the Register of Deeds of Hall County, Nebraska being more
particularly described as follows:
A sixteen(16.0) foot wide easement described in Document 79-005903 recorded
in the Register of Deeds Office, Hall County,Nebraska as: lying eight(8) feet on
each side of a line described as beginning at a point on the north line of Block
Fifty (50) Packer and Barr's Second Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall
County,Nebraska, being eleven(11.0) feet west of the northeast corner of Lot
One (1) said Block 50; thence running southwesterly to a point one hundred thirty
two (132.0) feet north and thirty five (35.0) feet west of the southeast corner of
Lot Two (2) said Block Fifty (50); and a tract of land for anchors and down guys
labeled"Anchor Easement"being shown on the original plat.

And an eight(8.0) foot wide easement described in Ordinance No. 4892, recorded
in Misc. Book 21, Page 81, in the Register of Deeds Office, Hall County,
Nebraska, as being retained in that part of vacated Harrison Street lying between
Block Five (5) Kernohan and Decker's Addition and Block Fifty (50) Packer and
Barr's Second Addition, with its complement Block Four (4) Kernohan and
Decker's Addition as: the westerly eight(8.0) feet of said vacated Harrison
Street, except the southerly one hundred forty eight(148.0) feet thereof.
Such Easements to be vacated as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto dated
1/11/2025 and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The title to the property vacated by Section 1 of the ordinance shall revert
to the owner or owners of the real estate upon which the easement is located.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby directed to be recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds of Hall County,Nebraska.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage
and publication within fifteen (15) days in one issue of the Grand Island Daily Independent as
provided by law.
