01/28/2025 Resolutions 2025-36 RESOLUTION 2025-36 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from Island Grand Rentals,LLC to survey,construct,inspect,maintain,repair,replace,relocate,extend, remove, and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 28, 2025, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement tract in part of Lots One(1),Two(2),Three(3), Four(4),Five(5), Six(6), Seven(7),Eight(8),Nine(9), Ten(10),and Eleven(11),Pleasant View Fourteenth Subdivision,in the City of Grand Island,Hall County,Nebraska;the five(5.0)foot wide utility easement and right-of-way tracts being more particularly described as follows: The westerly five (5.0) feet of Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4) and Five (5), and the northerly five (5.0)feet of Lots Six(6), and Seven(7), and the easterly five (5.0) feet of Lots Eight(8),Nine (9), Ten(10), and Eleven(11), all in Pleasant View Fourteenth Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County,Nebraska. The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of.10 acres,more or less,as shown on the plat dated 1/8/2025,marked Exhibit"A" and attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Island Grand Rentals,LLC on,over and below the tract of land described herein and as depicted on Exhibit A hereto for one dollar ($1.00) and mutual benefits received. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designee are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose of this Resolution.
