WHEREAS, on November 12, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-334, City Council
approved an engineering services agreement with Felsburg Holt&Ullevig of Omaha,Nebraska in
the amount of$96,320.00 for the North Moore's Creek Wetland Mitigation Bank; and
WHEREAS, on January 10, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-13, City Council
approved Amendment No. 1, in the amount of$116,515.00, to include project management, data
collection, preliminary design and project permitting; and
WHEREAS,On June 25,2024,via Resolution No.2024-147,City Council approved
Amendment No.2,int the amount of$165,505.00,to include project management&meetings,final
design, bidding phase, final banking instrument with USACE, and permitting services; and
WHEREAS, at this time it is necessary for the City to enter into an agreement with
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)to establish the Grand Island Mitigation Bank; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,NEBRASKA,that the agreement for Establishment of the Grand
Island Mitigation Bank with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers(USACE)of Omaha,Nebraska for the
North Moore's Creek Wetland area is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized
and directed to execute such agreement on behalf of the City of Grand Island and that the City Clerk
shall store,retain, and make available for access all related and herein referenced documents in the
same manner as contracts an agreements are retained.
