01/14/2025 Resolutions 2025-14 RESOLUTION 2025-14 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from Teta Hospitality to survey,construct,inspect,maintain,repair,replace,relocate,extend,remove,and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 14, 2025, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of an easement tract in part of Lot Two (2), Legacy 34 Fourth Subdivision(formerly known as Lot Twenty-Two(22),Legacy 34 Third Subdivision),in the City of Grand Island, Hall County,Nebraska, the boundary of the utility easement and right-of-way tract being more particularly described as follows: The westerly twenty(20.0) feet of the southerly one hundred seventy-eight (178.0) feet of Lot Two(2),Legacy 34 Fourth Subdivision(formerly known as Lot Twenty- Two (22), Legacy 34 Third Subdivision),in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of.08 acres,more or less, as shown on the plat dated 11/22/2024, marked Exhibit "A" and attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Teta Hospitality, Inc., on, over and below the tract of land described herein and as depicted on Exhibit A hereto for one dollar($1.00) and mutual benefits received. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designee are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose of this Resolution.
