WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from
Hall County Livestock Improvement Association to survey, construct, inspect, maintain, repair,
replace,relocate,extend,remove,and operate thereon,public utilities and appurtenances,including
power lines; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 10, 2024, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of a twenty(20.0) foot wide utility easement tracts in part of the
West Half(W 1/2)of the Southeast Quarter(SE 1/4)of Section Twenty-Two(22),Township Eleven
(11)North,Range Nine(9)West of the 6th P.M.in the City of Grand Island,Hall County,Nebraska,
the boundary of the utility easement and right-of-way tract being more particularly described as
follows:
A parcel of land located in the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22,
Township 11 North, Range 9 West of the Sixth P.M.,in the City of Grand Island,Hall
County,Nebraska, being described as follows:
Referring to the Northwest corner of said Southeast Quarter;thence S89°18'41"E(basis
of bearings being the Hall County Low Distortion Projection)on the North line of said
Southeast Quarter, a distance of 502.47 feet;thence S00°05'52"E, a distance of 80.00
feet to the South right of way line of Fonner Park Road to the Point of Beginning;
thence continuing S00°05'52"E, a distance of 119.94 feet; thence N89°24'54"E, a
distance of 42.62 feet; thence S00°04'42E, a distance of 869.78 feet; thence
southwesterly on a 30.00 foot radius curve to the right,an arc distance of 44.52 feet,the
chord of said curve bears S42°26'21"W, 40.55 feet; thence southwesterly on a 10.00
foot radius curve to the left, an arc distance of 14.83 feet,the chord of said curve bears
S42°27'45"W, 13.51 feet; thence S00°01'55"W, a distance of 14.89 feet; thence

thence northeasterly on a 30.00 foot radius curve to the right, an arc distance of 44.50

The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of 22,757 square feet
or .52 acres, more or less as shown on the plat dated 4/10/2024, marked Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Hall County Livestock Improvement
Association, on, over and below the tract of land described herein and as depicted on Exhibit A
hereto for one dollar ($1.00) and mutual benefits received.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designee are hereby authorized to
execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose of this Resolution.
