Notice appeared in the Grand Island Independent on September 20, 2018; and was posted on September 20, 2018. A quorum present, President Ed Meedel called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The following members were present: Kelli Arens, Ben Boeselager, Tanya Hansen, Maria Lopez, Jaime Parr and Sapna Purawat. Steve Fosselman, Library Director was also present. Open Meetings Law Notice: Provided by President Ed Meedel. Public Participation: None Approval of Minutes: Motion by Tanya Hansen, seconded by Ben Boeselager carried unanimously to accept for filing the Minutes of the August 20, 2018 library board meeting. REPORTS: Approval of Financial Report: Motion by Kelli Arens, seconded by Sapna Purawat carried unanimously to accept for filing the July 2018 Financial Reports. Approval of Bills Submitted: Motion by Kelli Arens, seconded by Sapna Purawat carried unanimously to accept for filing the August 28, 2018 and September 11, 2018 Bills Submitted. Approval of Director’s Report: Motion by Ben Boeselager, seconded by Tanya Hansen carried unanimously to accept for filing the Director’s Report. Board Communications and Committee Reports: Renovation construction progress and upcoming county interlocal committee work were discussed. Approval of GILIBRARY 2020 Update for 2018-2020: Motion by Kelli Arens, seconded by Sapna Purawat carried unanimously to accept for filing the plan as presented. Approval of Library Board Vice President: Motion by Ben Boeselager, seconded by Tanya Hansen carried unanimously to elect Kelli Arens as Library Board Vice President. Approval of Designation of One Library Board Member to Serve as Grand Island Public Library Foundation Board Member: Motion by Ed Meedel, seconded by Jaime Parr carried unanimously to designate Ben Boeselager to serve as Grand Island Public Library Foundation Board Member. Staff Contact: Ed Meedel Grand Island Regular Meeting - 10/15/2018 Page 19 / 20 Library Board Monday, October 15, 2018 Regular Meeting Item F1 Approval of Interlocal Agreement in the Amount of $20,000 with Hall County Through September 30, 2019 The library Interlocal committee is working with the county on a one-year agreement that will provide payment to the library in the amount of $20,000. This is the same amount as specified in the agreement that has just expired. This action item will allow the library board to either approve a contract presented at the meeting or to authorize the library board president to sign a contract under these terms.
