We join libraries and librarians that open a world of possibilities to all of you through innovative STEAM programing, maker spaces, job-seeking resources and the power of reading. We join all our nation’s libraries that work to serve all members of our increasingly diverse cities, towns and counties, offering services and educational resources that transform communities, open minds and promote American values of inclusion and diversity. And we join every library that stands for free access to information as well as the pursuit of authentic, verifiable facts for an informed citizenry capable of handling real news as it happens in our precious democracy. This year our honorary National Library Week chair is Julie Foudy, retired professional soccer player, two-time World Cup champion, and a medalist in the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympics.
