Call to Order
Nabity called the meeting to order at 10:10 am. The Nebraska Open Meetings Act was
acknowledged.
Roll Call
Roll call was taken.
Approval of Minutes from the October 21, 2019 Technical Advisory Committee
Motion by Falmlen to approve the minutes of the October 21, 2019 meeting, seconded by Riehle.
Upon voice vote, all voted aye. Motion adopted.
Update on the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan
Jason Carbee of HDR, Inc. presented an overview of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)
including the requirements, schedule, data collection and public engagement efforts to date. The
LRTP requirements include an update every five years, promote regional performance measures and
targets, inclusive of all modes and that it is a fiscally constrained plan that accomplishes the
transportation goals of the region. The project schedule includes three public workshops in year
2020. The first public meeting will be a visioning workshop in the Winter followed by a prioritization
workshop in the Spring and a Draft LRTP meeting in the Fall. The public engagement includes a
project website, press releases, meeting advertisement, socio media, email outreach, focus group
meetings and public open houses. The data collection to date includes existing conditions results for
crash/ safety, traffic operations, travel reliability, and pavement and bridge conditions.
Next Meeting Date
The next meeting of the TAC will be on February 10, 2020 at 10:00 am.
