Call to Order
Nabity called the meeting to order at 10:02 am. The Nebraska Open Meetings Act was
acknowledged.
Roll Call
Roll call was taken. Andres Gomez was introduced as the MPO Program Manager.
Approval of Minutes from the April 8, 2019 Technical Advisory Committee Meeting
Motion by Olson to approve the minutes of the April 8, 2019 meeting, seconded by Riehle.
Upon voice vote, all voted aye. Motion adopted.
MPO Financial Update
Gomez provided an update for State Fiscal Year 2019; Fourth Quarter, which is from April 1,
2019- June 30, 2019.
Approval of MPO Targets for Safety Performance Measures
Gomez presented the 2020 statewide targets to the committee, with the recommendation to
support such. The MPOs may support all the State Highway Safety Improvement Program
(HSIP) targets, establish their own specific numeric HSIP targets for all of the performance
measure, or any combination. MPOs must establish HSIP targets no later than February 27 of
each year.
Motion by Collins to approve recommendation of adopting 2020 statewide MPO Targets for
Safety Performance Measures, with Janulewicz seconding. Upon voice vote, all voted aye.
Motion adopted.
Update on the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan
Gomez gave a preliminary schedule for the Long Range Transportation Plan update, which is
due every five (5) years and is the first major update to the 2016 plan.
June 7, 2019 - Issue Notice to Proceed to selected consultant
December 2019 - Existing Conditions Summary
January 2020 – Travel Demand Model and Documentation
February 2020 – Future Conditions Summary
February 2020- Public Involvement with Open House
March 2020 – Financial Plan

The next meeting of the TAC will be on December 9, 2019 at 10:00 am.
