WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from
Prataria Ventures, LLC to survey, construct, inspect, maintain, repair, replace, relocate, extend,
remove, and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 12, 2024, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of two (2) ten (10.0) foot wide easement and right-of-way tract
located through a part of Lot Nine (9) and Lot Ten (10), Prairie Commons Sixth Subdivision, in the
City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, the boundary of the utility easement and right-of-way
tract being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT 1
The northerly ten (10.0) feet of Lot Nine (9), Prairie Commons Sixth Subdivision in the
City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.
TRACT 2
The southerly ten (10.0) feet of Lot Ten (10), Prairie Commons Sixth Subdivision in the
City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a combined total of .16 acres, more
or less as shown on the plat dated 1/24/2024, marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Prataria Ventures, LLC, on and over the tract of
land described herein and as depicted on Exhibit A hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and designee are hereby authorized to
execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose of this Resolution.
