03/12/2024 Resolutions 2024-61RESOLUTION 2024-61 WHEREAS, the City Park Maintenance Division has been utilizing the old National Guard Armory building as an offsite storage/staging area; and WHEREAS, the National Guard Armory building will soon become the new site for the Children's Museum and a move is required; and WHEREAS, a metal storage building owned by Barry Neidfelt located at 1024 South Adams Street offers 8,400 square foot of space, centrally located, and near the trail and Parks Shop at Sucks Lake Park; and WHEREAS, the Park Maintenance Division will enter into a one (1) year lease agreement in the amount of $27,000 plus electric utilities; and WHEREAS, funds will be paid out of the Park Operations budget — Other Property Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the Lease Agreement by and between the City of Grand Island and Barry Neidfelt detailing the responsibilities between both parties is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to sign on behalf of the City of Grand Island, the Agreement by and between the City and Barry Neidfelt.
