WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island invited sealed bids for one (1) 2024 Model
Solid Waste Transfer Trailer for the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department,
according to specifications on file with the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, on October 10, 2023 bids were received, opened and reviewed; and
WHEREAS, Wilkens Industries of Morris, Minnesota submitted a bid in accordance
with the terms of the advertisement of bids and specifications and all other statutory requirements
contained therein, such bid being in the net amount of $120,757.00; and
WHEREAS, Wilkens Industries bid is fair and reasonable for such item.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the bid of Wilkens Industries of Morris,
Minnesota in the net amount of $120,757.00 for one (1) 2024 Model Solid Waste Transfer Trailer is
hereby approved as the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
