08/22/2023 Resolutions 2023-198RESOLUTION 2023-198 WHEREAS, Water Main Project 2023-W-1 installed a 6" diameter ductile iron water main within 18th Street and Indiana Avenue; and WHEREAS, the original contract was awarded by Council on February 28, 2023, in the amount of $285,378.13 to Myers Construction, Inc. of Broken Bow, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, during the process of constructing the water main, materials were added or deducted to complete the work and unit prices were provided in the Contract and specified that the contractor be paid on the basis of actual quantity installed, times the Contract's unit price; and WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $285,378.13, and the total change to the contract amount to a deduct of $18,890.69, resulting in a final contract cost of $266,487.44. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that Change Order # 1 for the construction of Water Main Project 2023-W-1 in the deduct amount of $18,890.69, is approved, and the Mayar is hereby authorized to sign the Change Order on behalf of the City of Grand Island.
