01/10/2023 Resolutions 2023-6RESOLUTION 2023-6 WHEREAS, the owner of real property located at 2002 Nelson Lane has offered to transfer ownership to the City for the purpose of providing public access from the north to the Orchard Subdivision, such real property being further described as follows: The Orchard, LLC- Parcel No. 400059893 ALL OF LOT FOURTEEN (14), LASSONDE THIRD SUBDIVISION, CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, HALL COUNTY, NEBRASKA. WHEREAS, a public hearing on the acquisition and dedication of this property for public right of way was held on January 10, 2023 and the City Council has considered any testimony presented at the public hearing; and WHEREAS, the warranty deed for Parcel No. 400059893 transferring title and dedicating the land as public right-of-way has been reviewed and approved by the City Legal Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into the Agreement for the public right-of-way on the above described tract of land. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to to take all actions necessary to effect the purpose of this resolution.
