WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from
Mid-Nebraska Coin-Op, Inc., to survey, construct, inspect, maintain, repair, replace, relocate, extend,
remove, and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 26, 2021, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of a utility easement and right-of-way tract located through a part
of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NEl/4, NE1/4), Section Thirty-three (33)
Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine (9) West of the 6�' PM in the City of Grand Island, Hall
County, Nebraska, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast Corner of Lot Two (2), Valentine Motel Subdivision, in the
City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, said point also being on the westerly right-
of-way line of Locust Street; thence southerly, along the westerly right-of-way line of
said Locust Street, a distance of two hundred twenty-eight and twenty-two hundredths
(228.22) feet to a point of intersection; thence continuing southerly along the westerly
right-of-way line of said Locust Street, a distance of thirty-eight and four hundredths
(38.04) to a point on southerly line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter
(NE1/4,NE1/4) of Section Thirty-three (33), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Nine
(9) West of the 6th P.M.; thence westerly along the southerly line of said Northeast
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4,NE 1/4), a distance of ten (10.0) feet; thence
northerly and ten (10.0) feet parallel with the westerly right-of-way line of said Locust
Street, a distance thirty-seven and sixty-nine hundredths (37.69) feet to a point of
intersection; thence continuing northerly and ten (10.0) feet parallel with the westerly
right-of-way line of said Locust Street, a distance of two hundred fifteen and fifty-three
hundredths (215.53) feet; thence westerly and parallel with the southerly line of said Lot
Two (2), a distance of eighty and sixteen hundredths (80.16) feet; thence northerly and
perpendicular to the southerly line of said Lot Two (2), a distance of thirteen (13.0) feet
to a point on the southerly line of said Lot Two (2); thence easterly, along the southerly
line of said Lot Two (2), a distance of eighty-nine and sixty-one hundredths (89.61) feet
to the said Point of Beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of .085 acres, more or
less as shown on the plat dated 9/17/2021, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.

NOW, THFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
� THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Mid-Nebraska Coin-Op, Inc., on the above-
described tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, October 26, 2021.
