WHEREAS, in the process of cleaning up sanitary sewer records within the Public
Works Department it has been discovered that sanitary sewer easements in Sanitary Sewer District
No. 287; 18�' Street from Walnut Street to Wheeler Avenue were not acquired at the time of the
public sanitary sewer main installation; and
WHEREAS, this matter dates back to 1955; and
WHEREAS, without the necessary easement the City does not have proper authority
to maintain the existing public sanitary sewer main; and
WHEREAS, the public utility easement will allow for the construction, operation,
maintenance, extension, repair, replacement, and removal of sanitary sewer within the easement.
WHEREAS, acquisition of the public utility easements is as follows:

EXCEPTING THEREFROM ANY AND ALL BUILDING STRUCTURES ERECTED
Angela J. Ziller pRIOR T0 DATE HEREIN. SAID PERMANENT SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
CONTAINS APPROXIMATELY 911 SQUARE FEET, MORE OR LESS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire such public utility easements from the listed property owners, on the above-
described tracts of land.
