09/08/2020 Resolutions 2020-207R E S O L U T I O N 2020-207 WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from Grand Island Joint Venture, LLC, to survey, construct, inspect, maintain, repair, replace, relocate, extend, remove, and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines and; WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 8, 2020, for the purpose of discussing the proposed acquisition of utility easement located through a part of Lot One (1), Lot Two (2), and Outlot A, Grand Island Mall Eighteenth Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, and more particularly described as follows: The southerly sixteen (16.0) feet and the easterly sixteen (16.0) feet of Lot One (1), and the southerly twenty-five (25.0) feet of the easterly sixteen (16.0) feet of Lot Two (2), and the southerly sixteen (16.0) feet of Outlot A, Grand Island Mall Eighteenth Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of .17 acres, more or less as shown on the plat dated 5/8/2020, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is, authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Grand Island Joint Venture, LLC, on the above- described tract of land.
