RESOLUTION 2020-71
WHEREAS, a public utility easement is required by the City of Grand Island from
Genuine Diesel, Inc., to survey, construct, inspect, maintain, repair, replace, relocate, extend,
remove, and operate thereon, public utilities and appurtenances, including power lines and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 24, 2020, for the purpose of
discussing the proposed acquisition of utility easement located through a part of Lot Five (5)
Westgate Industrial Park 2°d Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot Five (5), Westgate Industrial Park 2nd
Subdivision, in the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska; thence westerly, along
the southerly line of said Lot Five (5), a distance of one hundred seventy (170.0) feet;
thence northerly and perpendicular to the southerly line of said Lot Five (5), a distance
of seventy-five (75.0) feet; thence easterly and parallel with the southerly line of said Lot
Five (5), a distance of twenty (20.0) feet; thence southerly and perpendicular to the
southerly line of said Lot Five (5), a distance of sixty-five (65.0) feet; thence easterly
and parallel with the southerly line of said Lot Five (5), a distance of one hundred fifty
(150.0) feet to a point on the easterly line of said Lot Five (5); thence southerly along the
easterly line of said Lot Five (5) a distance of ten (10.0) feet to the said Point of
Beginning.
The above-described easement and right-of-way containing a total of .07 acres, more or
less as shown on the plat dated 2/25/2020, marked Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that the City of Grand Island be, and hereby is,
authorized to acquire a public utility easement from Genuine Diesel, Inc., on the above-described
tract of land.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, March 24, 2020.
