WHEREAS, the City of Grand Island, Nebraska was awarded a$413,557 as part of the
United Sta.tes Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS, City Council approved the 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan; and
WHEREAS, The Literacy Council of Grand Island has been awarded a grant which makes
use of CDBG Funds; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with each organization to
identified in the 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that The City of Grand Island, Nebraska is hereby
authorized to enter into a Sub-Recipient Agreement with The Literacy Council of Grand Island and
the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute such contracts.
