09/24/2019 Resolutions 2019-299RESOLUTION 2019-299 WHEREAS, the Grand Island Emergency Center, managed by the Grand Island Emergency Management Department is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for all of Hall County; and WHEREAS, the Grand Island Emergency Center collects 911 call data and reports this data to the Public Service Commission for funding and reporting purposes annually; and WHEREAS, the Public Service Commission has approved a contract to provide an automatic tool for summary 911 call data collection called Emergency Call Tracking System (ECaTS) to provide this funding and reporting data at no cost to the PSAPs, and WHEREAS, the Public Service Commission has drafted a Data Sharing Agreement to be signed by the PSAP directors that would allow the installation of ECaTS on the call handling equipment and allow for the automatic reporting and sharing of this summary 911 call data. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, that: 1. The Emergency Management Director is hereby authorized and directed to approve this ECaTS Data Sharing Agreement with the Public Service Commission and coordinate the installation of ECaTS equipment on the 911 call handling equipment.
